A complimentary casino lesson can help explain a table’s layout, procedures and wagers before you decide whether to play. Choose a currently listed session for the game you want, confirm participation conditions and keep any real-money gambling separate from the lesson.
A free class is not a promise of free chips, a low-stakes table afterward or a profitable session. You can finish the instruction and choose another activity without buying play.
Start with a currently published lesson
The Venetian’s table-games page currently lists complimentary craps lessons Monday–Friday at 11 AM and 7 PM, at the Venetian Craps Pit across from the main cage. The same page says its blackjack and roulette lessons are on hold.
Confirm the actual date and meeting point with the casino before making a journey around the class. A regular listed schedule can change. This is a verified operator example, not a claim that it is the only casino with instruction or a ranking of teaching quality.

Ask questions about the game you are being shown
- What starts and resolves the wager?
- What amount is at risk, and can another decision require more money?
- What happens on a win, loss or push?
- Which posted rules and payouts apply at this particular table?
- What are the chip-placement, handling and timing procedures?

Ask the instructor to explain an unclear step again. An informal demonstration does not establish that every variant elsewhere uses the same rules, or that understanding a wager makes its outcome predictable.
Keep the lesson separate from a cash session
If you later choose to gamble, read that actual table’s rules and minimum before putting money down. The table-minimum guide explains why an old low-stakes report is not a current quote. A lesson does not reserve a seat or establish a special practice-game price.
Choose an affordable limit and stopping time in advance using the gambling-budget guide. Keep accommodation, meals and the return journey funded separately. A zero gambling budget remains a valid choice after taking a free class.
Hypothetical cost example: a $0 lesson and an invented $12 complete return journey make a $12 outing before any optional purchase. A separate $40 gambling ceiling is money exposed to possible loss, not an admission fee and not a promise of a certain number of minutes.
Check other casinos directly rather than copying a daily list
Use a casino’s current official table-games or contact page to ask about a session. Confirm the game, date, location and actual conditions together. A dealer’s willingness to answer a question is different from a scheduled class.
Older forum posts can suggest questions or places to investigate, but they do not establish today’s schedule, class size or instructor quality. Check the actual session before arranging another booking around it.
Membership and lesson participation are separate decisions. The players-club guide explains program and offer conditions; do not increase spending to earn a benefit associated with learning or play.
