Start a free-attractions itinerary with places near the hotel or neighborhood you already plan to visit. Bellagio’s fountains and Conservatory, Flamingo’s habitat and Fremont Street’s canopy shows have free viewing options. Parking, transport, food, paid experiences and special events can still add to the outing.

Important seasonal exceptions
Bellagio lists Conservatory dark dates of November 8–13, 2026, and January 3–8, 2027. It also lists an October 16 Golden Hour event from 4–6 p.m. requiring active Gold, Platinum or NOIR MGM Rewards membership. Check public access around that event rather than assuming the normal arrangement applies all day.
Ethel M’s 2026 Holiday Cactus Garden listing gives a $3 entry fee per person, with exceptions for children under two and seniors 65+. Its calendar runs from November 5 through January 3, with Christmas Day closed and shorter hours on selected holidays. Confirm your visit’s date and hours before treating garden access as free.
Build a small route instead of crossing the city for every stop
For a Strip outing, choose Bellagio’s indoor display and fountains, then decide whether ARIA or Flamingo fits your next reservation. For downtown, use the current Fremont Street schedule and plan the return journey. Henderson’s Ethel M garden and Silverton’s south-valley aquarium are separate destinations; compare their journeys with the rest of your day.

Calculate the outing cost
Hypothetical example: $0 admission plus $40 round-trip transport and $20 of optional food totals $60. A nearby free attraction with no added transport can leave more of your budget available. Replace those figures with the actual journey and purchases you want; no citywide fare or food price is implied.
Check current operator information rather than relying on old resort lists. The former Mirage site is being redeveloped as Hard Rock Las Vegas, whose current website describes it as coming soon. Do not plan a present-day outing around the former Mirage volcano.
