Las Vegas Rooftop Dining: Terraces, Views and Sunset Plans

Choose a Las Vegas view dinner by the actual seating format: an open-air rooftop and a high indoor dining room are different experiences. Check the restaurant, menu, seating product and sunset time for your date before reserving. Height alone does not establish an unobstructed view of the setting sun or a particular landmark.

Two different elevated dining formats

BrewDog: reserve the intended floor and area

BrewDog’s Las Vegas page describes rooftop dining, open-air space and views toward Park MGM and New York-New York. It also lists UnderDog as a separate beer hall and sports bar below the rooftop. Confirm the floor and area before assuming any BrewDog reservation buys the rooftop experience.

Use the current food menu and ask what applies if outdoor seating changes because of conditions or an event. Confirm whether the booking is a dining table, event area or another product, and whether a minimum, deposit or cancellation charge applies. A lower-floor table is not automatically an equivalent substitute for a reservation made specifically for outdoor space.

Top of the World: read the food and seat conditions

The STRAT’s Top of the World page describes a dining room revolving 360 degrees every 80 minutes. It currently requires one entree or an equal-value food purchase, with a $55 minimum per guest, and states that the seat-experience fee is non-refundable.

Two guests therefore have a published minimum food commitment of $110 before any omitted charges; that is not the complete dinner bill. Confirm the selected seat product, fee amount, current menu, drinks, tax and gratuity. The restaurant lists 4–11 PM service and an upscale dress code, including restrictions on athletic apparel and flip-flops. Read its full current policy before going.

The revolving format changes the outlook over time. Ask what your selected seating includes and how a desired landmark or sunset view relates to that product. This guide does not promise an open-air seat, a constant west-facing table or a free window upgrade.

Plan the date, view and meal together

Look up the sunset time for the actual date in Las Vegas local time, then compare it with the restaurant’s service and reservation availability. Ask which direction the selected area faces, possible obstructions, seating duration and the outdoor backup arrangement. An old 6:30 PM recommendation does not work for every season.

Allow for arrival, security or building access where applicable, seating and ordering. A reservation time does not guarantee immediate seating or a meal finished before another booking. Check the current forecast and actual terrace operation, and confirm access arrangements if a specific route or seat affects your choice.

Price the complete evening

Hypothetical dinner for two: a $280 complete meal bill, a separate $40 seating charge and $30 transport total $350. If a chosen placement adds another $50, the evening becomes $400, or $200 each. These are invented complete amounts, not current quotes from the venues above.

Use the special-dinner menu and complete-bill worksheet to distinguish food, selected extras and travel. If you are deciding between a dinner view and a room upgrade, the named hotel-view category comparison covers that separate stay decision. Do not rely on an informal tip or an unconfirmed seating request to establish a purchased view.

Operator setting and booking information checked October 16, 2026. Confirm the chosen seating, menu, charges, conditions and date; no sunset sightline, quiet setting or window table is guaranteed here.
