Las Vegas New Year’s Eve 2026-27: Fireworks and Viewing Plans

For New Year’s Eve on Thursday, December 31, 2026, choose a viewing area and a realistic way back before buying an event or hotel package. Plaza and Legacy Club have published celebrations welcoming 2027. The complete upcoming Strip launch list and road-closure timetable were not verified in the primary sources reviewed for this update; older “ringing in 2026” pages describe the previous New Year’s Eve.

Separate the event year from the page’s update date

The retrieved Visit Las Vegas Cue the Fireworks article discusses welcoming 2026, even though its displayed publication date is in 2026. The LVCVA release dated January 1, 2026 confirms that celebration is historical. Its launch sites, duration and drone program are not proof of the December 31, 2026 plan.

For a Strip view, check the updated destination and venue announcements for your specific date. Choose a permitted location with a clear view toward confirmed launch areas. A recognizable intersection, fountain view or terrace label cannot guarantee which fireworks will be visible.

Two published options welcoming 2027

Plaza’s New Year’s Eve 2027 page advertises midnight fireworks and names Main Street in front of Carousel Bar and Oscar’s under the dome as viewing areas. It says Main Street will close to vehicles. Follow the property’s and authorities’ final access instructions; this is downtown, separate from the Strip’s multi-property celebration.

Plaza also advertises dinner and entertainment. A dinner reservation or show ticket should be checked for its own timing, seating and fireworks-view conditions. Do not assume every Oscar’s table or indoor show provides the same view, or that a room package includes those purchases.

Legacy Club’s Countdown in the Clouds is dated Thursday, December 31 and explicitly welcomes 2027. It advertises doors at 7 PM, with the general-admission open bar from 9 PM to midnight, at $295 plus LET tax per person. Two listed admissions total $590 before LET tax and any other fees. VIP tables have separate terms; general admission should not be treated as a guaranteed table.

The venue is on Circa’s 60th floor, with indoor and outdoor areas described by the event page. Circa’s guest guide states the property is 21+ and requires valid ID for entry. Confirm what your ticket allows, the view from your assigned area, weather arrangements and cancellation terms. Our ticket-buying checklist helps compare the final purchase conditions.

Use bridges for crossing and plan a permitted viewing space

Clark County’s bridge information describes their role in moving pedestrians and provides access-status information. Do not plan to reserve a bridge railing, escalator landing, road or parking garage as a viewing platform. Follow signs and staff or police directions, and use areas actually open for viewing.

Check the dated event notice for bag, container, age and entry rules. Arrange a meeting point and a return route that everyone can manage. Pack for the forecast close to your travel date rather than relying on one fixed NYE temperature; our packing guide covers the broader trip.

Price the journey and hotel separately

RTC’s retrieved NYE detour page is explicitly for December 31, 2025. Its free-ride window and diversion times should not be copied into the 2026 plan. Use current RTC schedules and route alerts and the new holiday announcement when available. A usual stop or hotel entrance may not serve the same journey during an event.

Compare your transport options and choose a Strip or downtown base that fits the evening you booked. For a hotel, compare the complete required stay, cancellation conditions and confirmed view using our hotel-booking comparison. Neither a paid ticket nor an expensive room guarantees an unobstructed fireworks view.

Official event, property and transport sources checked October 16, 2026. Plaza and Legacy Club’s 2026–27 listings are distinguished from historical Strip and RTC information; recheck final arrangements before travelling.
