Summerlin Hotels and Things to Do: Locations and Costs

Choose a Summerlin hotel when your plans favor the western Las Vegas valley, nearby dining and outdoor outings. Compare a Strip base if you expect several Strip trips each day. The useful question is how the exact hotel fits your itinerary, including the cost and time of returning.

Hotel and visitor information checked October 15, 2026, against operator, Downtown Summerlin and BLM sources.

Two hotel locations to compare

Hotel Address What to investigate
Red Rock Resort 11011 W. Charleston Boulevard Its listed dining, pool, bowling and movie options; room type and complete price
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa 221 N. Rampart Boulevard The property and spa facilities you will actually use, current access and your booking’s fees

These are different addresses. Map each against the restaurants, trailheads, meetings or events on your schedule. A general Summerlin label does not establish the same walk, drive or bus route from both properties.

Check the hotel total before comparing room rates

Station Casinos’ fee-inclusions page currently lists Red Rock’s resort fee as $50.85 including tax. It includes items such as in-room wireless internet and fitness access. Confirm how your quote displays the fee and whether the specific offer changes it.

At that published fee, three nights account for $152.55. Add it only if the reservation total has not already included it. This is fee arithmetic, rather than a room-rate quote or the complete cost of three nights.

For either hotel, compare the same dates, party, room category and cancellation conditions. Include taxes, mandatory fees, parking and travel to your planned activities. Keep incidental card holds separate from the amount you expect to spend. Check current pool and spa access for your party rather than treating every listed facility as included or available all year.

Downtown Summerlin is a shopping and dining stop

The official Downtown Summerlin directory and calendar cover shopping, dining, entertainment and events. Published general retail hours are Monday–Thursday 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Friday–Saturday 10 a.m.–9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–7 p.m.; individual tenants can differ.

Choose the restaurant’s own service period for a meal, and the exact event listing for a special visit. A general shopping timetable does not establish restaurant last seating, a sports fixture or an event’s admission. Make a meal and browsing the main plan if that is what you want; do not assume a baseball game is scheduled whenever you visit.

Red Rock outings need separate access checks

BLM requires Scenic Drive timed entry October 1–May 31, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Check current admission, alerts, weather and the exact trailhead. Hotel location does not supply a park reservation.

Pick a route that suits the group and the day’s conditions. Our short-walk comparison distinguishes Red Spring Boardwalk from the Scenic Drive entrance and from longer trails elsewhere. Reserve enough time for the whole journey back.

Plan transport before committing to this base

Red Rock’s transportation page describes concierge-arranged vehicles and rental arrangements; ask for the actual charge, availability and return details. Marriott’s current property page says JW Marriott does not provide shuttle service. Do not build the trip around an assumed free hotel shuttle.

Write down each planned Strip outing and price its return journey. With a car, include rental, fuel and destination parking. With rideshare, use the correct hotel and venue pickup points. With transit, check service for the travel time, transfers and the final walk.

Summerlin is a stronger fit when the activities you value are near the chosen hotel. If most of the itinerary is elsewhere, compare the combined accommodation-and-travel total with staying closer. For more space or kitchen needs, use our longer-stay guide to check the actual accommodation features and terms.
