For tacos in Las Vegas, start with the exact branch, protein or plant-based filling, serving format and total order. A price per taco is different from a platter price. These are sourced menu options for visitors to compare, without an invented local’s review or a guaranteed citywide winner.
Official locations and menus checked October 15, 2026. Confirm the selected branch, availability and prices before going.
Three named taco stops to compare
| Restaurant and branch | Published address | Menu starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Tacos El Gordo, Sunset Road | 2560 W. Sunset Road | The operator’s menu lists adobada made with pork and carne asada made with beef, among other taco fillings. |
| The Taco Stand, Spring Mountain | 3616 Spring Mountain Road | The menu includes al pastor, fish, shrimp, mushroom and nopal options. Check preparation and substitutions. |
| Tacotarian, Downtown | 1130 S. Casino Center Boulevard, #170 | A plant-based menu with individual tacos and a four-taco birria platter with dipping broth; compare the format you intend to order. |
Read the filling and preparation before ordering
Tacos El Gordo’s menu also identifies cabeza as beef head. Ask about unfamiliar names rather than assuming they are interchangeable with steak. Use the Sunset address for this outing; a business name in an old review is not enough to identify the correct current branch.
The Taco Stand’s Nopal Taco description includes cheese and offers a bean substitution. Its Mushroom Taco is labeled vegan. A cactus or mushroom ingredient alone does not tell you how the entire order is prepared; confirm the dish and any requested change at the Las Vegas branch.
Tacotarian describes its menu as fully plant-based and vegan. Its birria platter lists four tacos, so compare that order with the number of individual tacos you would otherwise buy. Do not assume that a platter and a single taco are comparable prices or portions.
Calculate your actual taco order
Count tacos per person, filling-specific prices, any separately charged extras, drinks and sides. Then add applicable taxes, any disclosed charges, your chosen tip and the journey. A low individual taco price does not establish the cost of the meal your group will order.
Illustration only: three tacos at an invented $4 each plus a $3 drink make $15 per person. For two people, that is $30; add a hypothetical $20 return journey and the outing subtotal is $50 before taxes, other charges and any tip. These are not restaurant prices or ride quotes.
Match the branch and hours to the rest of the day
The Sunset Tacos El Gordo directory currently lists 10 a.m.–2 a.m. Sunday–Thursday and 10 a.m.–4 a.m. Friday–Saturday. The Taco Stand’s Spring Mountain page lists 10 a.m.–midnight daily, while Tacotarian Downtown lists 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily. These are published schedules, not guarantees of last-order acceptance; check before a late journey.
For a time-sensitive pickup, select the exact address in the restaurant’s own ordering system and confirm the pickup details. Check parking or the return route from your hotel before comparing an off-Strip stop with a nearby meal.
Use our broader off-Strip Mexican-food guide for sit-down restaurant choices. For an entirely plant-based outing or a group with different dietary preferences, see the vegan and vegetarian guide. This page stays focused on choosing a taco order.
