Choose Las Vegas karaoke by format first: a shared bar session where singers take turns, or a private room booked for your party. Ellis Island and Dino’s publish karaoke sessions; KAMU offers private suites. The choice affects your start time, age eligibility, singing time and total bill.
For a larger celebration, fit karaoke into the group-activity and cost-sharing plan. Count everyone attending and everyone paying before choosing the room or collecting a deposit.

Ellis Island: a late shared session
The official Ellis Island karaoke page currently lists nightly karaoke at The Front Yard Bar from 10 PM until late, for guests 21 and over. It links to a KaraFun song catalog. Browse the catalog and check that night’s operation before making the journey.
A shared session means other singers have requests too. Ask the host how to join the rotation, prepare a second song and avoid planning around a guaranteed number of turns. The operator’s “late” wording is not a fixed closing time or a promise that the kitchen serves throughout karaoke.
For an original-music or stand-up performance slot, check the separate Las Vegas open-mic guide for the event format, dated session and signup rules before making plans.
Dino’s: check the karaoke nights separately from bar hours
Dino’s event page advertises karaoke Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 PM. Its contact page places the venue at 1516 South Las Vegas Boulevard and lists the bar as open 24 hours. That does not make karaoke a 24-hour or nightly event.
Confirm admission, any cover, current session and a workable return journey directly. Do not assume private-room service, a reserved performance slot or the same rules as another bar. If your party needs particular seating or a step-free entrance, ask about the actual route and arrangements before leaving.
KAMU: price the room and the required spending
KAMU’s published room pricing lists medium rooms for up to ten guests at $70 an hour Monday–Thursday from 6–10 PM and $100 an hour after 10 PM. Two hours entirely within the listed $70 window amount to $140 in room hire before applicable tax, the listed 20% gratuity and any other confirmed charges. Larger suites and other periods have different conditions.
Minimum spending can change the total substantially. The homepage lists Friday/Saturday medium-room minimums by headcount, while the medium-suite booking terms specify those minimums after 10 PM. Obtain written terms for your exact slot rather than resolving that difference by assumption. Ask which purchases count, whether room hire counts and what happens if the group spends less.
The medium-suite terms permit under-21 guests before 10 PM with an accompanying parent or adult 21+ at all times, and restrict attendance after 10 PM to ages 21+. They also describe the deposit’s 72-hour cancellation cutoff and a maximum of three payment splits. Check those conditions on the actual booking; a private room does not remove the age policy.
Calculate the whole party’s bill
Ask for room hire, required food-and-drink spending, tax, service charges or included gratuity, deposit credit and optional purchases to be itemized. A minimum spend is a purchase requirement; do not add the same qualifying purchases again as a second expense. Check whether a deposit reduces the final balance.
Hypothetical example: a complete $420 booking divided among six paying guests is $70 each. If the same commitment remains after two cancel, four payers owe $105 each, an increase of $35. Those are arithmetic examples, not a KAMU quote or a bar’s minimum.
Agree how late the group wants to stay, who handles payment and where the return pickup will be. Check menus and food-service hours separately from karaoke. A room reservation secures the described booking, while a public session leaves singing turns dependent on the host and other requests.
