Start with Vic’s, Maxan Jazz or a jazz performance at Myron’s when planning a Las Vegas jazz evening. They offer different arrangements: restaurant reservations, a food-and-drink minimum, or tickets for a named performance. Choose the artist and date first, then confirm the seating and complete cost.
| Venue | Where and format | Published cost arrangement |
|---|---|---|
| Vic’s | 355 Promenade Place, Symphony Park; dining and live jazz | FAQ says performances are complimentary with a reservation; food and drinks are separate |
| Maxan Jazz | 4130 South Decatur Boulevard; sushi and live music | No cover; $25 food-and-beverage minimum per person, $40 Friday and Saturday |
| Myron’s at The Smith Center | 240-seat cabaret venue in the Boman Pavilion | Buy the selected performance’s ticket; check dining charges separately |
Vic’s: a reservation for a jazz-focused restaurant evening
Vic’s FAQ describes straight-ahead jazz nightly. On evenings without a scheduled artist, it lists Las Vegas Academy jazz students from 6–9 PM. Its official site links the current event calendar and reservation service. Match your table time to the performance you want; restaurant opening hours alone do not identify the musicians.
The FAQ welcomes families in dining and lounge areas while restricting the bar to guests 21 and older. It recommends business casual for dining. Ask about your party’s seating, stage view and any event-specific conditions. Its location page places the restaurant in Symphony Park rather than on the Strip.
Complimentary performance admission does not mean a complimentary evening. Allow for your order, tax, chosen gratuity and transport. If you are staying on the Strip, compare the complete trip using our downtown versus Strip planning guide.
Maxan Jazz: count the minimum before reserving
Maxan’s official site currently lists dinner Wednesday–Monday, 6–11 PM, with live music 7–10 PM; Tuesday is closed. Use its entertainment calendar to confirm the artist and any schedule changes for your date.
The published minimum is per person, with the higher $40 amount on Friday and Saturday. For two people, that means $50 in food and beverages on a $25-minimum night, or $80 on a $40-minimum night, before any additional charges. A minimum is a spending floor, not a fixed dinner package. Ordering beyond it increases the bill.
Ask how tax, gratuity, special events and reservation conditions apply. With a hypothetical $30 round-trip ride, those two-person minimums plus transport become $80 or $110 before tax and any gratuity. This calculation uses an assumed fare, not a ride quote. Compare menus and routes with our off-Strip restaurant guide.
Myron’s: select a jazz event, not just the venue name
The Smith Center’s Myron’s page describes a 240-seat venue and lists multiple genres, including jazz, Broadway, pop and country. Use the genre filter and open the actual event page. A performance at Myron’s is not automatically a jazz concert.
Review the artist, start time, seat or table arrangement, final ticket charges, accessibility and age conditions for that event. Confirm whether dining is available and how it is charged. A concert ticket should not be treated as including dinner unless the purchase terms say so. Our show-ticket buying guide helps compare the actual seat and final checkout total.
Build one evening around the music
- Choose the performance and date from the venue’s current calendar.
- Reserve the relevant table or ticket and check the cancellation rules.
- Ask about stage view, shared tables and access needs before paying.
- Budget admission or minimum spending, your actual order, tax, chosen tips and the return journey.
- Confirm the schedule again before travelling to the venue.
Use the dinner-for-two cost guide if a substantial meal is part of the plan, and check food and activities after midnight separately. A late bar closing time does not mean the musicians or full kitchen continue that late.
For any other hotel lounge, brunch or outdoor event, look for a named jazz act on the date you will attend. General live-music advertising does not establish a jazz program, free admission or a dinner-and-show package.
